Semi Submarine Information

Today, tourist submarines operate in the Caribbean, the Red Sea, the Mediterranean, the South Pacific, the Atlantic, the South China Sea, the Gulf of Mexico and the Pacific Ocean. The tourist submarine industry has grown from a single 28-passenger vessel in 1985 to around 75 semi submersible and fully submersible purpose built units. Around the world, this industry has successfully introduced millions of passengers to the wonders of the subsea world.

Cabo Submarine is one of a couple tourist submarines located within Mexico. The other tourist submarines are located in Cozumel and Cancun.

Cabo Submarine was built by Sub Sea Systems in Rancho Cordova, California. Sub Sea Systems built many of these vessels in different sizes. Two of the semi submersible submarines that Sub Sea Systems built are located at Catalina Island, California, and are still operating a daily schedule of tours. The other locations that have Sub Sea Systems Submarines are Alaska, Hawaii, Turks and Caicos and many other around the world.
